Questions

Is it called knight cat, cat knight, or kitten knight?

All three, plus knight kitten. They are the same meme: a small pet in armor with a sword that is too big for it. Knight cat and cat knight are the common English searches. Kitten knight is the original character. The blog post “Knight Cat vs Cat Knight vs Kitten Knight” walks through the names.

Where did the knight cat trend start?

With the AI creator @sickmanai. A “Kitten vs Dragon” clip went up in mid-August 2026, and the storm shot of the kitten with an oversized sword is the one that spread. It broke out in late September, including a gym-bro collab with @derek.mercer.2006. The character is fully AI. There is no real cat behind the original. The timeline is in the blog post “Where Did the Knight Cat Trend Come From?”

Which photo works best?

One pet, whole body, daylight, eyes visible, plain background. A sharp boring photo beats a blurry cute one. Skip heavy filters, sunglasses, costumes, and shots where the pet is half hidden. JPG, PNG, or WEBP up to 10 MB. The guide is the blog post “How to Take the Perfect Photo for Your Knight Cat Video.”

Does it work with dogs?

Yes. Choose Cat or Dog before you generate. Dog stills add “furry paws, no fingers” so the armor does not grow hands. The generator is built for cats and dogs.

Can I be in the video with my pet?

Yes. Use You & your pet. Image 1 is you, image 2 is the pet. You become the big knight and the pet the small one. Use your own face, or an adult who agreed. No celebrities, and no photos of children.

How much does a video cost?

Each paid clip is 720p, 10 seconds, 9:16, with sound, and costs 1 credit. Packs are one-time: $5.99 for 1 video, $12.99 for 3, and $29.99 for 10. Credits do not expire. There is no subscription.

Is the preview free?

Signed-in accounts get 2 watermarked stills per UTC day. A failed still does not count. Regenerating uses that same allowance. There is no free video. You see the still before you spend a credit.

Will my video have a watermark?

Paid videos do not. Only the free still is watermarked. The file is MP4, 720p, vertical 9:16, so it fits TikTok, Reels, and Shorts without cropping.

What if the video fails?

If the video fails, or it is still running after 10 minutes, the credit comes back once. A failed still does not use a video credit. If you have not used the credit, email support@knightcatai.com within 24 hours of your first order for a cash refund of that unused purchase. A delivered video is not refunded because you dislike the result.

How long does it take?

The still usually takes 30–50 seconds. The 10-second video usually takes 2–3 minutes. You can close the tab. We email you when a paid video is ready.

Does the video have sound?

Yes. Every paid video is 10 seconds with an audio track. If you want a TikTok sound instead, mute ours in the editor and add that sound there. Caption and hashtag ideas are in the blog post “Best Captions, Sounds and Hashtags for Knight Cat Videos.”

Do I have to write a prompt?

No. Pick Pet knight or You & your pet. The prompts already tell the model to keep breed, face, eye color, and fur. The prompts page shows the exact still and 10 second video prompts.

What happens to my photos?

The photo is used to make your still and, if you pay, your video. Knight Cat AI does not train its own models on it. APIMart processes the photo to generate the result. Uploads and finished files are deleted from our storage 30 days after the job is created. Download the clip before then.
